Fastest Tennessee Titan RB Khalfani Muhammad
While Demarco Murray is the Titans featured back, they could easily have a three headed monster if Coach Mularkey pulled the trigger.
The Titans 7th Round Selection at pick 241 Khalfani Muhammad ran a 4.34 forty in the rain on Cal’s Pro Day. Granted this was not an official combine run but it was in the rain.
This makes the fastest Tennessee Titan RB Khalfani Muhammad.
Muhammad tallied over two thousand yards from scrimmage and ranks 3rd in Cal’s school history with 4, 575 all purpose yards. Marshawn Lynch is 4th.
Khalfani Muhammad is 5’7″ bringing elusiveness to the Titans backfield. His pure speed and quickness could be a dynamic change of pace behind Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry.
Murray brings the complete package when you factor in his experience, catch ability, and speed versus size. He is also the best pass blocker in the Titans backfield.
Derrick Henry offers a change of pace in pure size, strength, and quicker than most expect. He is the type of back that can wear down defenses especially linebacker.
To have the ability to then substitute a smaller back with Chris Johnson speed is a tremendous asset. Each back creates a situation where defenses have to reformulate their approach play by play.
Muhammed gained over half of his all purpose yards off kick returns. So it is likely we will see him in this role as well, along with Adoree’ Jackson.
When any team selects a superior wide receiver like Corey Davis first in the draft, the rest of the draft class can be easily overlooked.
While Khalfani Muhammad does not have the resume for a first round pick, he was yet another steal for Titans General Manager Jon Robinson at 241.
The Tennessee Titans obviously have post season plans and why shouldn’t they. With the additions to this team there is virtually no type of play they can not run.
With this being the case, one might see a bigger work load in the backfield distributed in the regular season. Having a healthy Demarco Murray for the play offs could only mean great things for the Titans.
